Made my day.
ah mahhh
So much for a Chinese New Year. then again, all of my Chinese New years have been rather plain, and I don't expect anything more than that. Today....school....chinese candy....regular food mommy makes/ orders...roast duck, chicken...believe it or not, yeah it's sorta normal for me to eat that. I don't know why. Mommy likes duck I guess.
Oh....thanks to Gary Lightbody, I am....infatuated w/ the Irish accent. It is utterly...irresistible. Any song he will sing, as long as that little Irish accent pops its little head in to supply song Irish delight...oh it's great. Yeah, accents. One or the other, there is just something about it.
Oh my brother has finally gotten tickets from ticketmaster for a concert: The Vines. He and I are attending...it'll be a bit weird, he won't want to stay to wait for the guys after the concert nor go early for to see them arrive. Perhaps I should find someone who can go and provide a ride instead. I better do something quick though. ahh....THE VINES. mmmm HMMMM!
ok, now I must, must, must do some hw. the beginning of this month has been nothing but a lazy bummed me playing online games on msn. Yup, msn online games They're just so fun....dammit guadalupe introduced me to them and now I just want to play them all day. Alas, I have to draw a flyer for blocwork w/ mini jenny, get ready for badminton (I am very very sore now from it), finish my unfinished art for the blocwork uhh show? on the 22nd...and catch up with whatever I'm missing. Oh I must finish a book...by next week, this weekend is going to be packed. oh and those pillows for the service club I'm in, Kokua Lima...ahh. I'm Treasurer by the way. What a title....not really. :)

I'll skip the words...onto the easy stuff.
#1: my Cockatiel Jenny, but vectored and not yet done. You can see bits of the actual image that haven't been covered. He's sitting on a bowl, with napkins on it, next to a hot pink mirror with balls. I'm planning to use this as my vox banner up top, replacing the wonderful Gary Lightbody pulling his strap.
#2: My entry into the Alhambra High School Badminton uniform shirt design. It's not great, but it's not as boring as it could be. See if they choose mine, then I'll get a free shirt this year. wo0t!
#3: This is a Weezer-chronology of their "work", like the actual sites..umm recording history. Had Karl wanted something more pazzazzy, then I assume it'd be along those lines. I saw the picture of the guys, I had already colored it and the effects, so I just turned it into a banner. Then I saw that it had good potential as a website. Nothing fancy, just a log of all history. I really need to take some web design classes.
And that's probably as far as my art life will go...for now.
Today I went to the park to play Badminton. Oh the muscles are gonna be sooo sore tomorrow morning. SO SORE. I'm a bit rusty at the game, and I don't know where the future will take me.
EDIT: The day after this post.
I am hurting so bad. The left arm, both ribs, back sides, and thighs hurt from playing Badminton. Yes, Badminton. Getting out of bed was hell.
Forgot to include this as "art". There's another one too, John Lennon, but I'll scan it later.
Mind the creases from the paper..This is a drawing of Eric Wareheim from Tim and Eric. I had to rush a bit after though for the stupid art club's pathetic title of a "gallery/fashion show" Overall, I'm proud of this one. :)

A WHOLE LOT!
Just so awesome! I wish I worked in that studio now.
HEY! Jonny won the Critic's Choice for best Music, for There Will Be Blood! It was presented by Snoop Dogg. I wonder how astonished Jonny would feel if he knew Snoop Dogg just presented his award.
I predict, Michael Cera and that whole crew of funny men, who all are connected to eventually....Will Ferrell, are gonna make this year...and the next and the next pretty full of movies. they just keep getting all these comedy movies with the same actors..I question if all of their movies are going to be very funny. I know one thing though, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, AND John--especially John C. Reilly, AND duh, Bob Odenkirk all are related to Tim and Eric.
Zach tickles Michael! ^

I think I might just love all of these guys. This group of funny men are funny. I knew Jack White was Elvis! MAN! I saw...Walk Hard on Friday night. It's rated R for a reason. I don't know how John C. Reilly could hold a smile with the roadie's marriage toys. three inches away from his face. Yucky.
One of the guys from Upright Citizens Brigade, SNL people were part of Dewey Cox's band. It was pretty darn funny. The bandmate he's in "love" with, the bandmate who gives out the drugs, and the bandmate whose wife he bangs. Beatles scene was great. Impressions of them weren't that great though...but the jokes..did make fun of those beatles right! Absurdity and the broken sinks! I think Elvis broke a lot of sinks...it was in that TV movie about him with Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Elvis. You see John C. Reilly's blue eyes and you're sold. Oh and the hairstyles! :) Great parodies...really great.
Dr. Steve Brule does it again! I love his wonky voice, and he has a great singing voice. Walk Hard's melody is still playin in my head. That's how catchy it is. The music wasn't bad either. Lyrics were commercial, and the music was great. Especially the "Let's Duet" song.
I love John C. Reilly. You just can't hate the man!

oh holy mother, my back aches.
oh lord. oh for the love of mercy. ooooh! my back rips in sorrow. and my head falls from the weight
So I have a school art show tomorrow night. I haven't finished many of the ones I wanted to present. I guess it'll be used for the Spring show. Oh well.
I have this World History AP study guide that is feeding all of my energy like a bloodthirsty beast. I've only defined eight people...from Gregory I to Louis XI and it has sucked out so much. I don't know how it is capable but that damn thing! from hell!
So, away from all the texts, I'm going to located English cities, and blah blah as another part of the study guide. It's all due on Thursday, and this whole hunk of cheese called the Middle Ages to the English Monarchy and France is on Thursday as well. Oh holy mother, I have good reason to say your name! He went over it with us...maybe for 2 weeks now...and the 500 or so years of history has been packed like rotten sardines in a tin can box in my head. so many Henrys and Edwards all at the same time.
I saw I Am Legend last night. It was too short for an epic you're alone in the world plot, and the end said god has a plan...basically. the book was TOTALLY different. book was more kick ass, the last words of the story was "I am legend"---perfect ending. Vampires could talk, the guy ate steak all the time, and killed vampires in their sleep in the day. Nothing like this movie version, in act the I am legend meaning is all different-he finds a cure so he's the legend, book version was last human ever--that's literally legend enough. I liked Will Smith's acting, but that's as far as it got.
Man, I'm still in Sweeney Todd whimsical land. those songs in the film grow on you, and when I hear it , I remember the scenes when it occurred. I think because I lost my cell phone, all full of guilt and disappointment, the movie cheered me up, at least got me distracted. I got to see five or six throats all right after the other, sadness in other characters, make myself feel happy. I do want to see that movie again. I well enjoyed it all.
I've finished christmas shopping. I don't enjoy Christmas shopping. It's all me me me me my friends. :) I don't enjoy the whole presents thing really...I'd rather get my own thing...on my own. I'm sure others would too. Some put thought when buying gifts for others, but when others don't, and laugh as if it isn't important anyway--it's the "thought" that counts...what the hell? for someone to not put any thought into a gift for a person is just rude. Crap or not, at least put a smile on their face because they know where you took that idea of a gift from. Just candy....cookies? that's it? How about some cookies that have some important date, or say toilet to reference to that toilet you both saw somewhere...yadda yadda. Putting no thought..ruins it all.
Oh last saturday was Rose Parade making. they were more strict, frankly...less people from other schools the better. I hope next time I go there will be less people and less hard-asses.
Happy Holidays

ok so I displayed some of my art in the school library. Then I'm told someone, an aide for a student saw it, loved my charcoal curtain picture, and wants to purchase it. I'll elaborate more later. with a picture of it. I'm numb. literally it's freakin cold..the fans wind is hitting my wet hair. It's cold.
oh and bear for Kokua Lima sweatshirts.
finished it. I'll make more adjustments depending on whatever is needed.
Wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. Took a lot of time though. All photoshop. First I drew it, put my drawing into the comp, traced it over with the PEN TOOL (so Jenny if you're reading this...I can only tell you what I used...it's hard to explain and teach you how to use these things, so don't ask me in detail--just play with the tools), stroke with black, brush size 2-4px, basic brush style (a simple circle), fill in w/ color. For the can, same thing, but when coloring, use the DODGE tool and BURN to add the effect. The text, "Loki Cola"? font from dafont.com, you with can wrap it as a text layer, OR RASTERIZE the text layer (right click "rasterize" which turns it to a reg. layer) and warp it by clicking (CTRL-T) there will be a wavy type of icon up there on the right, pull the corners the inside corners of the squares to desired "warp"

Music is just once of things I get excited about. One of the reason I live on, what many people do to live on. Keeps us entertained. there is no life if you don't have it full of expectations.
This my friends....although horrible, has just pushed me to like Sigur Ros even more.
Perhaps it's the..loss of something that would make me excited and happy that pushes me to prepare myself. So next damn time, I will know.
Currently listening to a live version of Radiohead.

I've been gettin Beatle flu today. During the morning of school, my teacher said something around the lines of "To know her is to love her" to one of my fellow victims of him damn class. My mind quickly, mixes some words, and I start singing "The know, know, know her, is to love, love, love her." Then I sing the melody because I don't remember the lines after that, and then go "and I do, and I do, and I do and I do and I do" Singing for the background vocals as well.
Then another song got stuck in my head as the time passed. A partial part of Lady Madonna...and various things when I saw the damn Across The Universe trailer, etc etc. In fact so many songs...clips of the songs I could remember played all day. When I walked home...I had a Beatle song I believe. I just can't remember what. It was one of those songs to me, where I wasn't a big fan of, but it popped out of nowhere and started playing. I went home, saw "My Yoko" by John Lennon on my Itunes, and heard "Oh Yoko" in my head. Remembering about the video with the foggy forest. Then I practiced the guitar with....mostly Beatle songs. I also wore a Beatles shirt that day as well. It's all subliminal messaging. :) Now, I am currently listening to non-stop Beatle. Just because I can.
Even though today was depressing, I think the Beatle moments were little pieces of heaven. As if I had an ipod to escape to...
Oh, I might just get the Radiohead discbox. I just have to swear I can't complain my brother never buys me anything anymore. (He's missed my b-day & X-mas many times. either one or the other or both)
So, a Beatles hello goodbye (eh!) to you.
And The fart from "She's A Woman", it's in the Artifact cds..Someone there made a fart sound!
